Liebster Blog Award - My FIRST Nomination!

 

 

So, let me just say --

 

AHHHHHHHHHHH!

 

Oh My God! I feel sooooo honored to be nominated for this by my friend, Mary, from Wndrlnds. She was an amazing help to me when I was trying to start my blog. She gave me advice, and answered any questions I had. So, for that, and this, Thank you so much, Mary! You are an inspiration to me, and I couldn't be more humbled than I am in this moment!

 

So, these are the Rules for this Award -

• You must answer the 10 questions given to you by the person who nominated you.
• You  must pick five nominees with under 200 followers to answer your questions.
• You cannot nominate the person who nominated you.
• You must inform the people you nominate that they have been nominated for the award

 

So, here are the questions that Mary had, and my answers.

 

 

Question #1: Who or what inspired you to start your blog?

Answer: Honestly, when I had to drop out of Esthetics School in Ohio to move back to Maine, I felt really lost for the first month. I was rejected by a school here, because of the type of highschool diploma I have, due to home schooling. So, I have to get my GED before I go back to school. So, when I was informed that I couldn't go back to school, I was racking my brain to find something to do in my down time. After I talked to Mary, I knew, for sure, that I wanted to start a blog.

 

Question #2: What is the meaning behind your blog's name?

Answer: Well, its pretty to the point. haha. My name is Audrey, and I want to put all things beauty on here. So, I was thinking of some acronyms and came up with ABC - Audrey's Beauty Corner.

 

Question #3: Introvert or Extrovert?

Answer: I'm going to be completely honest.... I had no idea what these words meant. So, I had to pull up my trusty Dictionary.com. :) HAHA. So, for those of you who are with me, saying "Whaaaaaaa?" Here is the definitions:

Introvert - A shy person / Extrovert - An outgoing person

Honestly, I am very shy when I first meet someone, or when I am around a large group of people. I have a little bit of social anxiety around new or large numbers of people. But, when I get to know someone, I am a very VERY outgoing person. I am very outspoken, and blunt... Sometimes I have diarrhea of the mouth, and just say whatever comes to mind.... No filter..... Which isn't always a good thing, but I am learning the hard way when to keep my mouth shut.  

 

Question #4: If you could change your name, what would it be?

Answer: .......This is difficult for me to answer. I would NEVER change my name. EVER. I am named (first name) after my Great Grandmother, who passed away on April 16th, 2013. I also have 2 middle names. Breeanne Kay. The Kay comes from both of my Grandmothers, My Grandma and Nanny. They are such a huge support to me, and my naming process was not taken lightly. My daddy died on May 31st, 1997, when I was 2 and a half years old. He is my guardian angel. He named me after each of my Grandmothers, and I would never change that for the world.. ALTHOUGH! When I get married, I will be adjusting my name. I am keeping my last name, because it is my daddy's last name, but changing it to a 3rd middle name and adding my fiancé's last name as mine.

So, Short Answer - I wouldn't. :)

 

Question #5: What is your favorite quote?

Answer: One Step At A Time. I have this tattooed across my foot. To remind me to take one day at a time. I struggle with depression, and I have to remind myself of this daily. I also have this in Memory of my Uncle D. He passed away after a long, hidden battle with drug addiction. I remember him telling me often to just take life as it is handed to you, and one foot after the other.

 

Question #6: If you had to describe yourself as one animal, which would you be? Why?

Answer: Hmm... I think I would describe myself as a Lioness. I like to think of myself as a strong and independent woman. I was raised by VERY strong women (my Mommy, Nanny, & Grandma). My family is a lot like a lion pride. I was taught that I don't need anyone but my family to support me, and succeed in life. My family has always been very closely knit. I am super close to all of my family. They have always supported me in my decisions, and stood behind me.

 

Question #7: Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your younger self?

Answer: Dang Mary! Making me dig deep... This is a little bit of a personal question, so I am not going to go very in depth with this answer..... I would basically tell my younger self, that I deserve more, and that I need to stop searching for love and know myself first....... I had a "boyfriend" when I was 14-16 that was 3 years older. He didn't treat me the way I should have been treated, but I was blinded from what I thought was "Love". Obviously it wasn't. After I got to know myself, and what I really wanted out of life, I was able to find someone, when I wasn't even looking, that loves me unconditionally. I really couldn't have found a better man, and I feel so blessed to have AJ.

 

Question #8: What is your favorite brand of makeup?

Answer: I think that my favorite is either elf or Maybelline.... e.l.f. makes amazing products for under $10. I love their eye liners, eye primers, brushes, and some shadows. Maybelline makes the BEST, hands down, BEST mascara out of all of the drugstore brands I have used. I am currently INLOVE with their Original Falsies Mascara. Ugh. I don't need to say any more than, to you whos reading this.... go buy it! NOW! It's an amazing AMAZING mascara!

 

Question #9: What are your tips for new bloggers?

Answer: My tips are-

1. Brainstorm for blog post ideas
2. Do not ever blog when you're not feeling it... Readers can tell.
3. Have fun when you're blogging! The more fun you have, it comes through in your writing, and attracts more viewers.

 

Question #10: Where do you see yourself in 50 years?

Answer: In 50 years, I will be 69. I hope to have been an amazing Esthetician and Makeup Artist. Have my own salon and spa, and passing it on to another generation. I hope to be happily married with 2-3 children, and maybe a few grandchildren. I want to just know that I did something great with my life, and was able to share it with AJ and our future children!

 

Question #11: What is the best post you've written?

Answer: I honestly don't think I have written my best post yet.... I will have to get back on this one ;)
