Love It or Leave it? : Lippies #1

Hello everyone!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!

Today, I am going to do a Love It or Leave it on a few Lip Products that I have purchased or been gifted over the holidays!

The things i will be talking about are:

Lip Sticks-

• Milani Lip Stick (color- Rose Hip)

Liquid Lip Sticks/Lip Stains-

• Limecrime Velvetine Lip Stain (color- Red Velvet)
• NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (color- Tokyo)

Lip Liners-

• Real Colors Hydra Lips Waterproof Gel Lip Liner (color- 516018 Pinup Pink)
• Palladio Lip Liner (color- Tickle Me Pink LL304)

Lip Health Products-

• e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator
• e.l.f. Conditioning Lip Balm (color- Mellow Melon)

The first product i want to start with is Milani Lip Stick in the shade Rose Hip. Below are the photos I took.

The color of this lip stick is gorgeous. The perfect bright pink, without being hot pink. It has an amazing scent. Possibly vanilla? I'm not really sure on the scent. It is very creamy, and has a satin matte finish. I found mine at CVS for about $5. For the drug store price, this is a high end quality lip stick! 

Final verdict: Love It!

The first liquid lip stick I want to mention is actually considered a "lip stain". It is a Lime Crime Velvetine in the shade Red Velvet. Below are the photos.

The color pay off you get from this is amazing. I paid $20 for mine, on www.limecrime.com. It does dry matte, which i love! But, it can be VERY drying to your lips. To prevent this, you really are going to want to deep condition/deep moisturize your lips before hand. I usually exfoliate and then use a conditioning balm on my lips, while I apply the rest of my makeup. Limecrime as insane colors! This one, and photos I have seen of the other shades, are very opaque. They cover the lips with one swipe. This shade is the perfect Bright Red shade. I wore this one on Christmas, and got a lot of compliments. Another great thing, it lasts ALL DAY! Even through eating and drinking! It will not budge after a 2-3 minute dry time!

Final Verdict: Love it. My only hold back with this, is of course, the drying effect it has on my lips even after removed. I definatly cannot wear this lippie every day.

The last liquid lipstick I want to talk about is a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Tokyo. Here are the photos.

This lippie is a great baby doll pink color. My mother purchased mine from Target for about $6. I do not like how it feels on my lips. Although it is soft, it can feel somewhat sticky. It also only lasts a few hours, at most, it has lasted about 3 hours for me. And unlike the Velvetine, it does smear and come off when I eat and drink. Major disappointment, as I specifically asked for this for Christmas. (sadface)...... 

Final Verdict: Leave it. Even though this was only $6, I feel that for the quality i expected, it is not a good buy. Unless you are ok with reapplying every few hours. I normally do not take any makeup with me when I am out and about, so that would be a hassle for me to have to take it with me every time i decide to wear it.

These next 2 products are lip liners. I will not be doing a love it or leave it verdict, because i have only used each one, one time. 

The first one is Real Colors Hydra Lips Waterproof Gel Lip Liner in the shade 516018 Pinup Pink. Below are photos.
I bought this liner at Sally's for about $3. I purchased it specifically to use with Rose Hip by Milani. It matches the lip stick perfectly! I love the color, and it stays where you put it! Even when I use my makeup remover wipes, I have to go over my lips 2-3 times to get it to come off. But definately not going to complain! That's what we buy liners for, right?! 

Final Verdict- Unsure. But this liner has amazing potential! I definately think it is going to become a go to liner!

The last lip liner i have is Palladio Lip Liner in the shade Tickle Me Pink LL304. Below are the photos.
I got this at Sally's for about $3. I purchased this liner to specifically use with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. Unfortuantely, this liner did not make the lip cream stay on any longer. It also is not opaque at all. I had to go over my lips 2-3 times to make it really look like i had it on my lips. 

Final Verdict: Very Unsure. This liner is definately a stumper for me. I love the color once it actually shows on my lips. But i don't like having to put multiple layers on.

The middle is Tickle me Pink ; Right is Pinup Pink. (disregard brown shade)

Now onto our Lip Health Products.

My first product is the e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator. Below are photos.

This exfoliator was $3, i believe. I purchased on eyeslipsface.com, but they can be purchased at Walmart. This exfoliator gets every single dead/dry skin cell off of my lips. I just dab a bit of water on my lips, and roll the exfoliator stick over my lips in downward (on bottom lip) and upward (on upper lip) until i feel enough texture on my lips to roll my lips together. I then rub my lips together for 10-15 seconds. I then use a damp cloth to remove the texture. I love how the exfoliator smells. It smells (and tastes) like brown sugar! Ahhhhhmaaaaazing drug store product! 

Final verdict: Love it!!!!!!! 

My last product for today is the e.l.f. Conditioning Lip Balm in the shade Mellow Melon. Pictures below.

This balm is amazing. I always use it after the exfoliator, before bed, and when i wake up. It's color is very sheer. And it makes my lips feel amazing! The only downside, is the smell. The scent of the balm turned me off at first, but I've gotten used to it after a couple weeks.

Final verdict: Love it!
